Alim Nigmatjonov
Hello! Thanks for visiting my e-portfolio. My name is Alim Nigmatjonov and I am currently a senior at Minnesota State University, Mankato. My major is Finance - Investment Analysis and my minor is Marketing and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Also, I am a member of the MSU Honors Program.
I consider myself as a Global Citizen as I love different cultures. I spend lots of time with my friends from different countries. This significantly expands my horizons and helps me to practice cultural empathy. I believe that my field of study and skills will give me access to different parts of the world.
My Hobbies
Investing and Trading
I am passionate about equity research and investing in the stock market. I utilize the knowledge gained from my finance classes to perform fundamental and technical analyses to make investment decisions. I have created a diversified investment portfolio that has been beating the Russell 2000 index fund for over 6months. Additionally, I trade currencies and gold for fun due to their high standard deviation.
Gym and Basketball
To maintain my physical and mental health, I actively go to the gym and play basketball. Doing sports helps me to keep my mood up and stay energized.
Volunteering
I believe that volunteering service is a great way to make friends, improve leadership skills, learn something new and enjoy helping others. Therefore, I actively do volunteering service when I have an opportunity. For example, I did volunteering service in places like the Sibley Park, Radio Hispana, Echo Food Shelf, International Kearney Center, and Education Abroad Office.
Podcasts
I enjoy listening to, watching, and reading Jordan Peterson's and Gary Vee's content in my free time. I like Jordan Peterson's book "12 Rules For Life" because it changed my perspectives and philosophies. Also, I find GaryVee a great motivational speaker in the business world because he is one of the people who made me believe that I can achieve my long-term entrepreneurial goals.
